How to Switch to a Flip Phone
As part of my effort to unplug from the myriad digital distractions that my iPhone offers, and my iPad, for the matter, I am considering switching to a flip phone. "Whoah," you might be thinking, "That's a bit drastic!" Fair point.
Still, it wasn't that long ago that we managed just fine without a full-on computer in our pockets. Not to mention the fact that there is a growing movement away from our contemporary digital immersion. Not quite a return to our analog past, but a recognition that we are being robbed of our ability to be attentive to the world around us. Enough proselytizing and to the guide.
It seems one good option is the 4G Nokia 2660 Flip, but it is only supported in Europe. This guy is obviously from the UK.
You will need to see which flips are compatible with US carriers like ATT. The link to the YouTube video offers you a well- conceived guide on how to go about doing this. Let me know what you think in the comments.
ATT, T-Mobile compatible 5G Flip. Sonim XP3 plus. PCMag Editors’ Choice. $199.99 to $229.99. (Compare that to the price of a new iPhone!)
