The Deed Is Done
"In watermelon sugar the deeds were done and done again as my life is
done in watermelon sugar." Richard Brautigan 1968
While I hardly remember reading Brautigan's "postmodern post-apocalyptic novel," as it is now referred to, I loved the that one sentence, and found that somehow it has stuck with me all these years later, much more than any part of "Trout Fishing in America," his other novel.
To the point, the deed is done. I have deleted my Facebook account Sunday evening. Thank you for joining me here...in watermelon sugar.
